•    Mobilized and built community support for, and confidence in, the health facility after many years of inactivity and neglect; initiated, coordinated and monitored a series of community development health care projects; mentored community-based health care workers to improve early referral of suspected HIV/AIDS cases in the local community; collaborated with field and community health workers in the development and adaptation of materials and protocols for training hospital health workers
