Brief Biography
Miss Akukwe Thecla I. is a lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She joined the University of Nigeria services in 2009. She obtained her B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc (Environmental Management) Degrees in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She won the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Chief Enoch Ifediora Oli prizes for the Best Graduate in the Department of Geography for the 2006/2007 Session. She also took a short course in Flood Risk Management at UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherlands and she is presently pursuing a Ph.D programme in Environmental Management with special interest in flood risk management.
