Her areas of interest are multidisciplinary with special concern in Adult Education and Public Administration. She had teaching experiences in various schools at the secondary levels after her NCE and B.Ed programmes respectively. She holds two distinctive Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Adult Education/Administration. Onovo has attended a number of workshops and seminars organized by reputable organizations. She has served at different departments of the University of Nigeria in various capacities. She is also at the moment a Board Member, Prof. Barth Nnaji Scholarship Foundation; Treasurer, Christian Women Organization (CWO), Enugu and Nsukka dioceses; Matron, Great Achievers Re-branding Kids of Nigeria and, again, Matron, Christian Youth Organization, Nsukka. Onovo is yet again a Member of the Advisory Board, Child Rights Brigade International of Nigeria.
